॥ श्री महिषासुरमर्दिनि स्तोत्रम् ॥

||  ஶ்ரீ மஹிஷாஸுரமர்தி³னி ஸ்தோத்ரம் || 

॥ ŚRĪ MAHIṢĀSURAMARDINI STOTRAM ॥

सहित-महाहव-मल्लम-तल्लिक-मल्लित-रल्लक-मल्लरते
विरचित-वल्लिक-पल्लिक-मल्लिक-भिल्लिक-भिल्लिक-वर्गवृते।
सितकृत-फुल्लसमुल्ल-सितारुण-तल्लज-पल्लव-सल्ललिते
जय जय हे महिषासुरमर्दिनि रम्यकपर्दिनि शैलसुते॥११॥

ஸஹித-மஹாஹவ-மல்லம-தல்லிக-மல்லித-ரல்லக-மல்லரதே
விரசித-வல்லிக-பல்லிக-மல்லிக-பி⁴ல்லிக-பி⁴ல்லிக-வர்க³வ்ருʼதே| 
ஸிதக்ருʼத-பு²ல்லஸமுல்ல-ஸிதாருண-தல்லஜ-பல்லவ-ஸல்லலிதே
ஜய ஜய ஹே மஹிஷாஸுரமர்தி³னி ரம்யகபர்தி³னி ஶைலஸுதே|| 11||

sahita-mahāhava-mallama-tallika-mallita-rallaka-mallarate
viracita-vallika-pallika-mallika-bhillika-bhillika-vargavṛte।
sitakṛta-phullasamulla-sitāruṇa-tallaja-pallava-sallalite
jaya jaya he mahiṣāsuramardini ramyakapardini śailasute॥11॥

பொருள் :

ஒரு பெரிய யாகத்தைப் போல் நடக்கின்றதான யுத்தத்தில், மல்லிகையைப் போன்று மென்மையான, வீரங்கனைகளுடன் யுத்தம் செய்யும் தேவியே !  காட்டுமல்லியைப் போன்று மென்மையான,  அவ்வீராங்கனைகளால் சூழப்பட்டுள்ளவளே !   மலர்கள் மலர்வதைப் போன்றதும், இளஞ்சூரியனைப் போன்று பிரகாசிக்கிறதுமான முகமுடையவளே !  மஹிஷாசஸுரனை அழித்தவளே !  அழகாகப் பின்னிய கூந்தலை உடையவளே !  மலைமகளே !  உனக்கு வெற்றி உண்டாகட்டும், உனக்கே வெற்றி உண்டாகட்டும்.   11

Meaning :

(O Divine Mother, I invoke You and take refuge in Your Auspicious Feet)
11.1: (Salutations to You O Divine Mother) I Invoke You; Who is Accompanied in the Great Battle against Excellent Wrestlers (Fighters) by Girls who appear Tender like Jasmine Fighting against the Enemies,
11.2: (I Invoke You) Whose Accompaniments are Composed of Girls from the Bheel Tribe who are Tender like Creepers of Jasmine and buzz like Swarms of Bees,
11.3: Whose Face Play a Smile Created by Joy which appear like Dawn Shining forth with Red Colour and Blossoming the Excellent Buds of Flowers,
11.4: Victory to You, Victory to You, (I take Refuge in Your Auspicious Feet) O the Destroyer of Demon Mahishasura; (Victory to You) Who Shine with Beautiful Locks of Hair and Who is the Daughter of the Mountain.   11

अविरल-गण्ड-गलन्मद-मेदुर-मत्त-मतङ्गज-राजपते
त्रिभुवन-भूषण-भूत-कलानिधि रूप-पयोनिधि राजसुते।
अयि सुद-तीजन-लालसमानस-मोहन-मन्मथ-राजसुते
जय जय हे महिषासुरमर्दिनि रम्यकपर्दिनि शैलसुते॥१२॥

அவிரல-க³ண்ட³-க³லன்மத³-மேது³ர-மத்த-மதங்க³ஜ-ராஜபதே
த்ரிபு⁴வன-பூ⁴ஷண-பூ⁴த-கலானிதி⁴ ரூப-பயோனிதி⁴ ராஜஸுதே| 
அயி ஸுத³-தீஜன-லாலஸமானஸ-மோஹன-மன்மத²-ராஜஸுதே
ஜய ஜய ஹே மஹிஷாஸுரமர்தி³னி ரம்யகபர்தி³னி ஶைலஸுதே|| 12|| 

avirala-gaṇḍa-galanmada-medura-matta-mataṅgaja-rājapate
tribhuvana-bhūṣaṇa-bhūta-kalānidhi rūpa-payonidhi rājasute।
ayi suda-tījana-lālasamānasa-mohana-manmatha-rājasute
jaya jaya he mahiṣāsuramardini ramyakapardini śailasute॥12॥

பொருள் :

கன்னத்திலிருந்து மதநீர் வழிகின்ற, மதம் கொண்ட யானைகளின் அரசனைப் போன்ற ஆற்றல் கொண்ட வீரசாம்ராஜ்யத்தின் இளவரசியே !  மூவுலகங்களுக்கும் ஆபரணம் எனத்தக்கதான கலை, அழகு, ஆற்றல் இவைகளின் இருப்பிடமாக விளங்கும் கலையுலகின் இளவரசியே ! 
அழகிய பல்வரிசையுடைய / புன்னகையுடைய நங்கைகளின் மேல் இச்சை ஏற்படுத்தி மனஸை மோஹிக்கச் செய்யும் சிருங்கார உலகின் இளவரசியே !  மஹிஷாசஸுரனை அழித்தவளே !  அழகாகப் பின்னிய கூந்தலை உடையவளே !  மலைமகளே !  உனக்கு வெற்றி உண்டாகட்டும், உனக்கே வெற்றி உண்டாகட்டும்.   12

12.1: (Salutations to You O Divine Mother) I Invoke You; Who is like a Royal Intoxicated Elephant from whose Cheeks the Thick Mada (Intoxicant) Oozes out and Falls Incessantly (in the form of Arts, Beauty and Power),
12.2: (I Invoke You) Who is the Daughter of the King and from Whom comes the Treasures of Arts, Beauty and Power which are Ornaments of the Three Worlds,
12.3: Who is like the Daughter of Manmatha (God of Love) who gives rise to the Desires and Infatuation in the Mind for Women with Beautiful Smile,
12.4: Victory to You, Victory to You, (I take Refuge in Your Auspicious Feet) O the Destroyer of Demon Mahishasura; (Victory to You) Who Shine with Beautiful Locks of Hair and Who is the Daughter of the Mountain.   12
