Rama stotram by Parashurama - Sloka 6

॥ श्री राम स्तोत्रम‌् ॥

||  ஶ்ரீ ராம ஸ்தோத்ரம் ||

॥ ŚRĪ RĀMA STOTRAM ॥

आत्मनःसंसृतिर्नास्ति बुद्धेर्ज्ञानं न जात्विति ।
अविवेकाद्द्वयं युङ्क्त्वा संसारीति प्रवर्तते ॥ ३६॥

ஆத்மன​:ஸம்ʼஸ்ருʼதிர்னாஸ்தி பு³த்³தே⁴ர்ஜ்ஞானம்ʼ ந ஜாத்விதி |
அவிவேகாத்³த்³வயம்ʼ யுங்க்த்வா ஸம்ʼஸாரீதி ப்ரவர்ததே ||  36||

ātmanaḥsaṃsṛtirnāsti buddherjñānaṃ na jātviti ।
avivekāddvayaṃ yuṅktvā saṃsārīti pravartate ॥ 36॥

பொருள் :

ஆத்மா பிறப்பு - இறப்பு இவைகளில் ஸம்பந்தப்படுவதில்லை. புத்தியிலும் ஞானசக்தி உண்டாவதில்லை. அவிவேகத்தினாலே, இவ்விரண்டையும் ஒன்று சேர்த்து ஜீவனானவன், 'நான் ஸம்ஸாரி'என்ற நினைவுடன் செயல்களில் ஈடுபடுகின்றான்.   36

Meaning :

The Atman in himself has no transmigratory involvement. Nor  has the Buddhi in itself consciousness or sentiency. When these two, the Atman and Buddhi unite into one through imaginary identification arising from lack of discriminative reflection, then we get that complex entity called the Jiva ( the individualized and embodied Atman ).   36
